The house was redecorated by the daughter of its original owner, Amalia Jimenez Volio, an artist who grew up in the house. Jimenez-Volio added a cheerful tropical touch to the house's colonial sobriety, filling its inner courtyards with colorful, modern furniture, typical Costa Rican crafts and paintings of her own, featuring mostly tropical flower motifs. |
