Hotel Magica Cantarrana
Leaving behind Switzerland and Italy, we decided to move to Costa Rica. We arrived in Samara one night in January 1994. Waking up the following morning we discovered in the outskirts of Samara a very special place, surrounded by nature and only a step from the enchanting beaches: Playa Samara and Playa Buena Vista. Because of the tranquility offered by this place where the noise of cars is replaced by the singing of frogs, cicadas and crickets and the air is clean and crystalline we decided to build Magica Cantarrana.

The hotel had to be welcoming and be in keeping with the natural beauty of the surroundings. The structure would be simple and European in style, lots of dark wood in contrast to the white walls, floor of terracotta, Italian style, and finishings of the highest quality. In Magica Cantarrana we couldn't miss a large and refreshing swimming pool to enable us to enjoy better the very hot tropical days. On the other side of the hotel, a garden of tropical fruit trees.

The restaurant area is constructed in the gazebo style, all red wood. In Magica Cantarrana you can delight the descriminating palate with your preferred dishes in the shade and surrounded by the freshness of tropical plants just in front of the swimming pool. Magical Cantarrana is especially suited for families, couples and everyone who wants personalized Fully Relaxing Holidays.

From the beginning we thought of the needs of our future guests. For this reason we decided to divide the space between apartments for two and for up to five persons and rooms for up to four guests. The apartments for five people had to be divided into two double rooms seperate with their own private bathroom, one extra room and a fully-equipped kitchen.

For the design of the rooms we thought as well to give comfort and the privacy required to parents vacationing with their children. This is why we divided them into two seperate rooms, one with double bed and the other with bunk beds for the children.

For the rooms and the two apartments located on the second floor there has been given extra space, a terrace and in this way you can enjoy th view of the open countryside, where the farmers leave their cows to fatten and keep their horses.

For the rooms and the two apartments on the ground floor for two people, we thought to provide an exit to the tropical fruit garden, an excellent place for reading.

All the rooms and apartments have private bathrooms, showers with hot water, fans and some are equipped with air conditioning.
