La Quinta de Sarapiquí in Costa Rica

La Quinta is located in one of the richest areas of the country for Birdwatching. The diversity of the lowlands birdlife is impressive. Sunbittern, oropendola, motmot, at least four species of trogons, umbrella birds, fruits crows, jacamars, tinamous, stripe-breasted and black throated wrens are some of more than 400 species that have been recorded in our area (50% of the species of Costa Rica).

Sarapiquí is one of the highlights of every birdwatcher's dream trip while in Costa Rica, and we invite you to come. The great green macaw is among the birds that you can look for.

La Quinta together with its guests and the Sarapiquí Conservation Association is helping to buy trees on the river side areas so the great macaw can maintain nesting places.
